Join us at The Cats' Pyjamas for a family-friendly shoebox parade float contest and celebrate Mardi Gras with a creative twist!

This year’s Mardi Paws theme is "Springfield Celebrates Food!" Inspired by Soulard Mardi Gras, we're shining a spotlight on Springfield’s one-of-a-kind food scene and its most iconic dishes.

How to Participate?

• Design and decorate your very own shoebox parade float! Draw inspiration from classic Mardi Gras traditions, a feline-inspired masterpiece, or Springfield’s legendary foods (especially the horseshoe!). You can design your own at home or at the cat café during the event.

• Awards and prizes will be given for the most creative and crowd-favorite floats, with exciting café goodies and contributions from generous local sponsors.
